A mix of Stalinist economic policy with defense sufficiency is suggested for the country. It may be recalled that the country's dismal economic performance coupled with its revenue requirement for sustaining the ruling communist regime of Democratic People's Republic of Korea raise serious concerns in light of its belligerent military policy.
