Real estate investment trusts have outperformed stock market investments for the past five years. One analysis forecasts that if interest rates remain low, real estate investment trusts will remain a good investment. The second analysis forecasts that the fundamentals of the market will drive success; higher property values, low vacancy rates and increasing rents.
