LML TO RIDE INTO MOBIKE SEGMENT

LML Ltd, a manufacturer of scooters, has decided to enter the motorcycle segment in the second quarter of 1999. It plans to introduce four-stroke motorcycles which have been developed in collaboration with Daelim Motor Company of South Korea. It plans to launch three 110 cc models of the Altino range and a 135 cc model called the VR 135. The bikes are to be priced in the range of Rs37,500 to Rs45,000. All the models are to be fitted with electric starters, multi- valve engines and five-speed gear boxes. The company plans to produce 10,000 units per month in the first year of operations. (khr)

HERO HONDA LAUNCHES 156 CC CBZ
Article Abstract:
Hero Honda Motors has launched a 156 cc motorcycle called CBZ which will cost Rs59,000 for a disc version and Rs54,800 for a drum version. The company also plans to introduce two more cheaper versions in 2000 AD, which will be positioned between 100 cc and 156 cc segments. (khr)
