RPG GUARDIAN TO OPEN 75 RETAIL OUTLETS BY 2000
Article Abstract:
RPG Guardian Private Limited (RPGG), a joint venture between RPG group and Dairy Farm International of Hong Kong, plans to float 75 retail shops across the country by 2000 AD. RPGG hopes to achieve a collective turnover of Rs55 crore from these outlets. It plans to open its second Health and Glow unit in Bangalore by October 10, 1998. The unit will offer entire range of health and beauty products and value added services through which a customer can take up a correct decision on his purchases. (gs)

BOC INDIA GIVEN PERMISSION TO SHUT DOWN GHATKOPAR FACTORY
Article Abstract:
The government of Maharashtra has permitted BOC India to shut down its Ghatkopar factory in Mumbai. The unit had become unviable due to unfavourable conditions and had stopped operating since December 1998. The government has permitted its closure on the grounds of continuing losses and poor productivity. BOC has stated that the unit has accumulated losses of over Rs8 crore in the last seven years.
