Radical possibilities
Article Abstract:
Architect Zaha Hadid is committed to her work and to the concept of innovation in buildings. She is critical of mediocrity in architecture generally, but particularly of its acceptance in her town of domicile, London, England. Hadid's radical Hong Kong Peak scheme attracted much attention in 1982, her scheme for Cardiff Bay Opera House also attracted attention due to its cancellation. Her scheme for the Mind Zone of the UK's Millennium Dome is currently under construction.
