Regent joins in with 'club' aimed at business travelers

Regent International Hotels is offering guests a new club service called the Regent Club. Aside from the usual amenities found in other hotel 'clubs' in the region, such as a lounge where guests can avail of free food and drinks throughout the day, separate check-in facilities, complimentary clothes pressing and personalized stationery, the service also offers 24-hour concierge and business-center services. It is already available in Regent Hotels in Jakarta and Bangkok for an extra $40 a night. Regent plans to offer the service in its Singapore and Kuala Lumpur hotels by 1997.

Unwrapping the party plans
Article Abstract:
The Regent Hong Kong has announced that it will host a party to celebrate Hong Kong's hand-over to China on June 30, 1997 that will be open to the public. The Regent, which will sell tickets costing $323 per party or $4,000 for the two-day event, is the only one to go public among harbor-side hotels in the territory which will celebrate the hand-over.
