Article Abstract:
Operational Management Procedures (OMPEs) are methods that will deal with uncertainties in fisheries data and in biological and ecological projections, which were to be followed due to frustration with the traditional approaches to fisheries management. The objectives of OMP are presented which suggest that under certain circumstances the industry would have to manage with reduced total allowable catch (TAC).
