Boris Yeltsin will try to take advantage of a rift in the Russian Congress of People's Deputies to get it to pass a new constitution abolishing itself. Nikolai Ryabov, who had opposed Yeltsin's reforms, objected to chairman Ruslan Khasbulatov's retreat back to communism.
