SAP likely to meet profit goal
Article Abstract:
SAP AG, a software development company headquartered in Waldorf, Germany, is expected by analysts to post pretax earnings of 1.71 marks per preference shares of company stock in the third quarter of its fiscal 1998, ending Sept. 30, 1998. Industry observers maintain that the firm is likewise poised to surpass, if not match, its earnings goal for the year. The software firm, however, is also expected by analysts to register a 10% decline in earnings in 1999 in light of reduced corporate spending due to the highly-touted Year 2000 computer problem.
