Salmon net buy-out to rebuild stocks

Norwegian salmon netsmen have entered into an agreement with North Atlantic Salmon Fund to stop fishing in Trondheim Fjord area. In consideration for such abstinence, these fishermen will be compensated by NASF. This form of buyout agreement is designed to rebuild Atlantic wild stock of salmons.

Slurry ice chills cod for export
Article Abstract:
The installation of the deepchill system from Sunwell Technologies Inc. of Canada at the Norewegian fish-processing unit Myre Maritim A/S is discussed. The deepchill slurry ice from the system is used to freeze the cod for export. The salient features of the deepchill systems are discussed.
