Article Abstract:
Kyocera Corp has developed into one of Japan's most dependably money-making companies since Chmn Kazuo Inamori founded it in 1959. Kyocera specializes in applied ceramics and controls 65% of the world's $1.5-2.5 billion dollar market for the ceramic packaging of integrated circuits. Under Inamori, Kyocera has achieved its eminent position not through research but by emphasizing efficient production, aggressive marketing and customer service. Kyocera's finances remain basically strong despite strains from several factors such as largely unsuccessful attempts at diversification.
