Seattle co. hits Lotus coffee scene
Article Abstract:
Wet Whiskers Inc (WWI), based in Seattle, WA, plans to introduce its coffee house concept into Canada with the construction of its first two shops and a prime spot at Granville and 11th scheduled to open in mid-Oct 2000. Instead of competing in markets dominated by chains, such as Starbucks Corp, Blenz and Second Cup Ltd, WWI's goal is to sell more coffee in locations where it does not have outlets. WWI expects to have 15-25 coffee houses in British Columbia by 2005.
