Pets can be relieved of the problem of dandruff by providing a daily-dose of omega-3 fatty acids at dinnertime and the use of lemon, which has astringent properties to cleanse the pet's coat, and make the skin silky and soft. The frequent clippings of the nails can be reduced by letting the pet pounce on a piece of corrugated cardboard as the friction created between the pet's nails and a rough surface works to wear down its nails to an acceptable length.
