Serono takes itself off the block

Serono AG of Switzerland has ended talks to be acquired as offers have not reflected the companies true value according to the major shareholder the Bartelli family. Stock price has been inconsistent and slid 8.4 percent yesterday to 845 Swiss Francs ($649). The company had been on the block for the past five months.

Serono's net profit rises 72% on lower costs
