Shucked oysters fresh for a month!

A new food processing method that keeps shucked oysters fresh for a month will be used by the Australian seafood industry. It is a joint discovery of Commonwealth Scientific & Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) and Australian Food Industry Science Centre. George Des, a director of Gold Medal Oysters Pty. Ltd., and Australian Seafood Connection Pty. Ltd., of New South Wales discusses the effect of the process on exports and marketing of seafood.

Bluefin tuna can be restocked

The Fisheries Lab of Japan's Kinki University is now hatching Bluefin Tuna larvae in-house instead of further depleting the wild resources of already declining Tuna population. There are speculations that it may one day be used to restock the seas.
