Silon invests in new lines
Article Abstract:
Silon (Plana nad Luznici, Czech Republic), mand-made fibres and staples company, invested an unspecified sum in new processing lines in 1999. A reason for its investment was that the collecting of PET bottles had increased and the firm's capacity had been fulfilled. Silon recycles PET-bottles into fibres. The firm has a processing capacity of 3,000 t of waste plastics per year. It has long-term experience with the recycling of pure industrial PET waste, including film and fleece production rejects.
