Skoda Praha to new markets
Article Abstract:
Skoda Praha (SP) (Prague, Czech Republic), supplier and engineering firm, expects its results to increase from 2001, due to contracts in Eastern Europe. SP's great reference is its participation in the construction of the nuclear power stations Temelin, the Czech Republic, and Mochovce, Slovakia, where eastern power projects were successfully connected with the advantageous control systems of Wetinghouse (US) and Siemens (Germany). That is why SP is able to participate in similar projects in Eastern Europe. Besides power engineering, SP also wants to focus on the petrochemical sector, the construction of sewage treatment plants and supplies for the paper industry. SP expects a gross profit of CEK 40 mil for 2000. Its 2000 proceeds should be CEK 13 bil, CEK 1.1 bil less compared to 1999.
