New cycle of interest-rate easing would help boost Asia

Investors would like the U.S. Federal Reserve to cut interest rates so that Asian central banks would follow suit and Asian stock markets would have an opportunity to rebound. A discsussion of whether a U.S.-Singapore trade agreement will be signed before Bill Clinton leaves office is also included.
