Satander's Botin quits her posts amid BCH merger

Banco Santander's director general, Ana Patricia Botin, has resigned from her post. Ms. Botin was considered by some to be the most powerful woman in Spain. Santander is the largest banking firm in Spain. Ms. Botin's resignation reflects the company's policy shift following the unexpected merger of Santander and Banco Central Hispanoamericano. Santander stated that Ms. Botin resigned her post in order to pursue other professional interests.
