Sprint dials up BBDO
Article Abstract:
Sprint Canada Inc has commissioned the services of BBDO Canada as its lead creative agency after the company and its former advertising agency, Grey Advertising Inc, mutually agreed to part ways in Jan 2000. Meanwhile, the telecommunication services company's Internet service will continue to be marketed by Vickers and Benson Direct and Interactive. Its local services advertising, on the other hand, will still handled by Response Innovations.

BBDO Worldwide, a unit of Omnicom Group Inc, has been chosen by DaimlerChryslers as its agency of record, handling the automaker's $1.2- billion creative account. The award was given with the condition that BBDO will hire top executives from True North Communications, the advertising agecny which used to hold part of DaimlerChrysler's creative account. BBDO has established a separate unit, named Pentamark, to handle the automaker's account.

DaimlerChryler parks biz at BBDO
Article Abstract:
DaimlerChrylser AG has has decided to consolidate its $1.2-billion brand and corporate advertising work with BBDO Worldwide and leave its other agent, True North Communications. The automaker's global advertising will be handled by a separate division within BBDO, called PentaMark Worldwide, which was establised in 1994 to manage marketing of all Chrysler brands in Canada.
