A discussion of testing DMU's returns to scale
Article Abstract:
The most productive scale size concept (MPSS), the variable returns to scale model, the scale efficiency index method and the interval measure technique are methods used to evaluate dual maneuvering units' returns to scale (RTS) for data envelopment analysis. The MPSS technique's failure to test RTS has been attributed to linear dependencies of DMUs. Such dependencies also function as multiple lambda value sources.

Stability regions for maintaining efficiency in data envelopment analysis
Article Abstract:
A procedure developed for performing a sensitivity analysis of the efficient decision making units (DMUs) in the CCR model of data development analysis proved efficient and provided an exact input stability region and output stability region within which the efficiency of a specific DMU remains unchanged. Necessary and sufficient conditions for an efficient DMU to remain efficient are also presented.
