Strategic marketing planning, environmental uncertainty and performance
Article Abstract:
Research has provided empirical proof that lack of corporate planning is a recipe for failure. A study shows that the level of formalization and comprehensiveness of corporate planning is positively related to corporate performance. Statistically, however, the association levels and proportions were relatively low. The study admits that the results might not stand up under unstable business environments as they do in stable ones and that there may be other factors related to planning which may have affected the study results.

New product introductions and failures under uncertainty
Article Abstract:
An examination on the new product introductions and failures when firms make introduction decisions under uncertainty about future demand or cost conditions is presented. It is shown that increased uncertainty is not necessarily detrimental to new product introductions, and that markets that have firms with more positively correlated cost structures might attract fewer new product introductions and have fewer new product failures.

Developing international strategic alliances between exporters and importers: the case of Australian exporters
Article Abstract:
A survey of Australian companies exporting to South Korea showed that it is vital for exporters to diminish opportunism so as to create relational exchange and international strategic alliances with foreign partners. Companies can check opportunism and promote relational exchanges by cutting decision-making vacillation, cultural distance and economic ethnocentrism. Exporters should encourage close communications with importers.
