Stretching the national fabric: fashion and tradition
Article Abstract:
The national cloth of Ghana, kente, has spread in popularity around the world, much like the tartan, the national fabric of Scotland. Similar to the way the Scottish tartan identifies family lineage, the kente identifies where a person is from, and sometimes, their station in life.
