Suspend the consumption tax to save Japan
Article Abstract:
The Japanese government has adopted a number of economic reforms which have been instrumental in establishing long-term growth in the country. Through the government's comprehensive restructuring program, companies were able to optimize their competence, while encouraging aggregate demand. Government officials have likewise made significant strides in addressing the country's employment problems. However, the national government's consumption tax program must be temporarily abandoned, so as to allow greater consumption and alleviate deflationary pressures.
