Tata IBM has decided to launch its i series of ThinkPad notebooks with a major media splash which will target individuals specifically and not just the corporate sector. The company has decided to sell the i series on an emotional instead of a commercial pitch. It has decided to use outdoor communication in addition to lifestyle and media to sell the I series. The company is also negotiating with major lifestyle stores for display space. The company will initially launch just one model in the domestic market priced at Rs1.2 lakh. (khr)
