TZ decreases the volume of discharged harmful substances to the river
Article Abstract:
Trinecke zelezarny (TZ) (Trinec, Czech Republic), metallurgy firm, has been decreasing the quantity of discharged sewage since 1989. The company discharged about 12 mil cu mt of sewage in 1997, 80% less compared to about 57 mil cu mt in 1989. The volume of insoluble substances in the firm's discharged sewage decreased to 329 t per year in 1997 compared to 1,600 t per year in 1989. TZ discharged only about 5 t of oils in sewage water in 1997 compared to 177 t of oil substances in 1989. About 70% of the 1989 discharged oil substances were oils. The company consumed nearly 17 mil cu mt of surface water for the ensuring of production in 1997, 80% less compared to 60 mil cu mt in 1989. . ADS is a member of of the group AssiDomaen (Sweden) and is owned by the production and trade division Kraft Product, which is the prominent global manufacturer of bag and sulphate paper.

Another environmental project of TZ has been completed

Trinecke zelezarny (TZ) (Trinec, Czech Republic), steel firm, has realised the repair and modernisatin of its gas cleaning plant KKO at a cost of 50 mil Kc. The project was realised mainly by the subsidiary TZ inzenyring (Trinec, Czech Republic). TZ's oxygen and converter steel plant decreased its solid emissions to 35-45 mg per cu mt after the realisation of the investment compared to the original 100 mg per cu mt. A maximum permitted data is 50 mg per cu mt.

Trinecke Zelezarny has bought a top excavator for 10 mil Kc

Trinecke zelezarny (TZ) (Trinec, Czech Republic), metallurgy company, will invest in the renovation of fleet at its waste material plant in 1998. The company bought a new rope excavator for about 10 mil Kc, 530,000 DEM, from Sonneberger (Germany) within the renovation in 1998. The excavator will be utilised during the separation of material taken from the dumping ground of industrial waste, so-called pit heap.
