Telenor thinks small
Article Abstract:
Norway's Telenor ASA has acquired many small Asian companies, such as Malaysia's DiGi.Com, Bangladesh's GrameenPhone Ltd., and Thailand's Total Access Communications PLC. Arve Johansen, Telenor Mobile's senior vice president, who oversees the investments, says the reason Telenor acquires such small companies is so their management expertise and resources will be able to have a large impact on the earnings of the Asian companies.
