Temptation, reassurance fly as passenger-keeping mottos
Article Abstract:
Airlines are not doing as poorly as expected after the September 11 terrorist attacks and the recent American Airlines crash in New York. Sixty-nine percent of seats were filled on Asian-Pacific international flights during the month of September, and 59% of seats were filled on U.S. flights during the same period. Still, overall losses are expected at more than $10 billion for the year so ticket promotions and reassuring campaigns such as, "Travel. It Does You the World of Good" and "The World Hasn't Stopped. Have You?", are being used to woo customers back.
