The Dolder Grand Hotel Zurich deserves to be considered as one of the many attractions of Switzerland. The 100-year-old hotel, which commenced its operations in 1899, has undergone a number of renovations to fully equip itself with modern amenities while maintaining the charms of a century-old, fairy-tale edifice. It boasts of 184 rooms, a golf course, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, tennis courts, ice-skating rink, sauna and the famous 'La Rotonde' restaurant. Situated amidst extensive woods, the hotel also offers its guests an excellent view of the Alps.

Several rivers for white water rafting can be found in Switzerland. Among these picturesque Swiss rivers are Inn, Vorderrhein, Gothard-Reuss, Simme, Saane and Lutschine. Tourists and local residents frequent the Inn river since it considered by most to be the wildest river in Europe. There are firms that organize rafting trips to these rivers and special sporting events. There are schools that offer training for special sports such as kayaking.
