The French market for fruit juices
Article Abstract:
A 16.6% rise in volume sales of fruit juices in France is predicted, reaching 1,111.6 million liters by the year 2002 due mainly to the dynamic pure juices and nectars markets. The pure juices sector posted a sizable volume growth of 30.4% and a value growth of 25.7% from 1993 to 1997, in contrast to a substantial drop in volume and value of juice drinks, at 22.4% and 14.6%, respectively. Leading the domestic fruit juices market in 1997 was Joker as it accounted for 11% of volume sales. Schweppes France was second with 7.7%, while Les Vergers d'Alsace was third with 6.6%.
