The Spanish market for fast food: market sectors: value trends
Article Abstract:
The pizzas sector of the fast food market in Spain has increased by 14.7% to a total value sales of Ptas53.1 billion in 1997. TelePizza has become the major player in the sector in 1997 after it acquired its rival Pizza World, which was formerly a major player in the fast food pizza market in Spain. Pizza Hut ranked second in the pizzas sector. The whole pizzas sector, however, posted the slowest growth in value terms in 1997 because of several factors including the rising price war between TelePizza and Pizza Hut.
