Bocatta, which is operated by Frankfurt SA and offers desserts, ice creams, salads, pastries and beverages in its menu, has secured an increased market share by 1.3% to 5% between 1995 and 1997 in the fast food market. Bocatta, which is ranked the sixth major fast food chain in Spain, is ranked second in the sectoral ranking following Pans & Company by obtaining a market share of 27.9% in value terms in 1997. Bocatta has grown in number of outlets to 100 in 1997 versus the 120 outlets of Pans & Company in 1997. Frankfurt expected to secure sales of Ptas7,500 million in 1997, up by 50% from sales in 1996.

Grupo Sigla SA, which operates a number of fast food chains such as the 50s chain, TGI Fridays, City-VIPs, Gino's Pasta & Pizza and Spaghetti Western, is the fifth largest company in the desserts sector of the fast food market in Spain with a market share of 7.7% in value terms in 1997. Sigla reported an increased sales by 11.5% to Ptas17,129 million in 1996 compared to sales in 1995 while sales for 1997 is initially forecast at an increase by 9% compared to 1996 figures. The firm serves in the major cities of Spain with its different chains of themed restaurants.
