The Spanish market for hair care: distribution: retail: colourants
Article Abstract:
The retail distribution of colorants in Spain is dominated by drugstores, which command a 35.4 share of the sector's value sales in 1996. The importance of drugstores in colorants retail is attributed to the need to stock a complete range of color per brand. Also, drugstores are likely to be approached by first time purchasers seeking advice on what colorants to buy. The channel with the most impressive growth in share of sales over 1992-1996 is the hypermarket, increasing its share by 2.2 percentage points in value terms.
