The new epidemic of emotional adultery

A woman tends to get involved in an extramarital affair easily if she is insecure or her marriage is on shaky ground, slowly the other man in her life evolves from casual friend to a confidant. Studies show that 97% of women develop a strong emotional attachment with their lovers long before the affair actually starts and experiences of three women are described who came across such situations.

Emotional adultery can shatter a marriage even if a platonic friendship between a man and a woman appear to be harmless. A woman is threatened more when her husband is emotionally involved with someone else because the emotional intimacy is affected by a third person.

A research reveals that most affairs-a startling 73%, to be precise-begin at the job. Graphic representation of women is presented for the year 1990 when the 39% of working women had extramarital affairs whereas in the year 2000 it raised to 50%.
