The new institutional economics and the evolution of modern urban planning: insights, issues and lessons
Article Abstract:
Urban planning has become a controversial topic, as there exists' no clear cut demarcation between market forces and government policy with respect to their role in property rights. A study examining the key issues governing urban planning, such as theoretical insights obtained from the New Institutional Economics, lessons from British town planning, etc are presented.
