The Socialists under Felipe Gonzalez have been in power in Spain for over ten years. They have provided many of the reforms they promised, but there has also been more than a little corruption and scandal. The party also seems to have moved so far to the right they have lost their sense of purpose.

Dr Carver Mead is regarded as one of the pioneers of miniaturisation andinformation technology but he claims he has never had an original idea. Instead, he says he has offered frameworks to allow others to do things more easily. Mead likens the creative process to an itch that must be scratched.

New York, NY has had a formidable budget deficit since 1975, and it appears to be worsening for Fiscal 1995. Officially, the city has a deficit of $1.1 billion or 3% of the city's annual budget, and experts see it rising higher in 1996.
