Ceske Drahy decreases its debts

Ceske drahy (CD) (Czech Republic), Czech Railways, has to go on covering its debts. The firm should decrease its debts by 2 bil Kc in 1998. CD had overdue payables of 2.5 bil Kc in the middle of 1998, a half compared to 1996. CD decreased its overdue payables by 1.6 bil Kc in 1997. The company was unprofitable in 1997. The firm saw a profit of 0.4 bil Kc from goods transport and a loss of 5.2 bil Kc from passenger transport in 1997.
