Work teams in industry can improve efficiency and boost morale, but they also have inherent problems. Teams may be the wrong approach to a particular problem or created without clear objectives or appropriate compensation systems, cross-training workers is expensive, and peer pressure can backfire.

Some people visualize island life as ideal, but many islanders may have different opinions. Weather can be harsh on many islands, others have active volcanoes, but perhaps the greatest drawback is the fact that islands are completely surrounded by water.
