Labour's left turn?
Article Abstract:
The ruling British Labor party follows a philosophy called 'the Third Way', which is not easy to define. Prime minister, Tony Blair, argues that it is important for the party to hold power, and that it was an opposition party when it sought greater ideological purity. Deputy prime minister, John prescott, argues that the government has carried out redistributve measures. Chancellor, Gordon Brown, has made some minor concessions, such as a small rise in the minimum wage. Blair appears to have strong control over the Labor party.
