Total market size: sectoral performance
Article Abstract:
The disposable paper products market in Benelux reports a 13% decline in the personal sector in value terms from 1993 to 1997 versus to slight increases in value terms in other sectors. The industry, however, reported the greatest decline by 10.6% in the household sector of the disposable paper products market in 1997. The tissue sector presented the second largest decline, falling by 9.8% in 1997. The significant market value decline of the personal sector during the review period was attributed to heightened brand pricing in major subsectors of disposable diapers and sanitary napkins during the later part of the period.
