Turkey's latest controversial dam

Turkey plans to build a dam on the Tigris river which will drown a number of villages and the historic town of Hasankeyf. Opposition to the Ilisu dam has come from Kurdish campaigners, and the British government is reconsidering credit guarantees for the dam.
