UK: DEPOLARISATION OF CATMARKED ISA SALES ON HOLD
Article Abstract:
The UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) has decided not to consider amending the rules on Cat-marked individual savings accounts (Isas) until later in 2001, in the second phase of the review of polarisation. The FSA has also decided not to include promotions for direct offers in the polarisation regime. According to the chief of policy on investment business at the FSA, David Severn, there is concern that consumers would be confused if changes to the regulations on polarisation were made in phases.
