UK: GE LIFE OFFERS NEW OVER 50S PLAN

GE Life is offering a high income and growth plan, aimed at those aged over 50, linked to the Euro Stoxx 50 index of the Dow Jones stock exchange. Fixed annual income is 10.25%, and there is a 0.8%/month income option. The maximum investment is GB 1mn and the minimum GBu 7,000. Investors can use the plan as a maxi individual savings account (ISA). There is a risk of loss of capital, according to Anna Bowes of Chase de Vere, independent financial adviser.

UK: L&G launches new, low-risk portfolio

Legal & General (L&G) has introduced its low-risk Protected Portfolio that offers equity growth potential. The five-year, fixed commitment vehicle comprises a portfolio of stocks from 30 of the UK's top companies. The growth on any one stock is limited to 100% and is not linked to the performance of other stocks in the portfolio.

Bradford & Bingley is offering Isa clients a choice of the Axa Select Income Fund or Axa Select Growth Fund Axa manager of manager retail funds via its Marketplace IFA arm.
