UK: IFAS PREFER MULTI-SECTOR INVESTMENT FUNDS
Article Abstract:
Some 90% of IFAs say that they would be more willing to recommend multi-sector investment funds as opposed to just one in 2001, according to research by Baring Asset Management (BAM), who launched their new fund, The Baring Leading Sector Fund, in February 2002, which invests in companies in the media, telecoms, healthcare, technology and financial sectors, with the latter two initially having the highest portfolio ratings of 25% and 33.6% respectively. Stocks will be chosen by five BAM sector investment experts and will then be overseen by fund manager, Lucy Macdonald, who will be able to change sectors and weightings.
