A new five-year fixed rate mortgage is being offered by Leeds & Holbeck Building Society, at a rate of 6.44%. The loan is aimed at borrowers seeking set payments over the medium- to long-term, and is available at up to 80% loan to value. It sets no higher lending fee, and borrowers may repay 10% of the original loan each year without penalty. Leeds & Holbeck is also offering a two-year mortgage at a discount rate of 1.65% off standard variable. Again, there is no higher lending rate and no redemption penalty, even during the two year term. It is available at 90% loan to value.

UK: Leeds & Holbeck launches loan

Leeds & Holbeck Building Society has introduced a new buy-to-let mortgage with a fixed interest rate of 6.24% until 1 November, 2006. To qualify for the loan, a property must have a maximum loan to value of 75%, with a minimum value of GBu 85,000 in London and GBu 50,000 elsewhere. Borrowers must use the building society's building insurance or pay an extra 0.15% in interest.

Leeds & Holbeck Building Society is offering a mortgage rate fixed at 5.99% for 10 years. The offer is a 50/50 mortgage, of which half is discounted by 1.35% until 1 Jan, 2003 and the remainder is fixed at 5.99% for 10 years. Up to 90% of the loan value is covered by the mortgage, which is available until 30 Mar, 2003, even if the interest rate rises.
