UK: PPI MIS-SELLING STILL RIFE

Mis-selling of payment protection insurance (PPI) is continuing, according to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) in its report on its April 2001 activities. The report says that the FOS is still receiving complaints from customers who are unhappy about the products they have been sold and calls for restrictions to be highlighted.

UK: FINANCIAL WEBSITES EXAMINED BY DTI AND POLICE
Article Abstract:
Some 28 UK websites are being investigated by the DTI and police after they were found to be offering unauthorised investment advise by a Financial Services Authority (FSA) investigation. The FSA investigation, which included regulators from a further 34 countries, identified over 60 rogue sites, of which 35 were foreign.
