US improves all round visibility
Article Abstract:
Dialight Corp has introduced the 860 series of obstruction lights for marking obstacles that serve as hazards to aircraft navigation. The 860 series complies with FAA regulations, ICAO specifications and MIL-C-7989. Its light intensity exceeds the FAA's specifications for the L-810 light and meets -55 degrees C temperature requirements while using 12.5 watts of power. It comes with an optically-designed glass lens that provides 360 degree visibility at 70 cd.

Building smarter bridges

FMC-Jetway Systems has introduced the JetLink system for electronically monitoring airport gate equipment. The JetLink's features include remotely activated bridge systems; automatic prompting for routine maintenance; display of fault messages to pinpoint the site and nature of a needed repair; rescheduling gates when a bridge becomes inoperable. JetLink is already being at Kuala Lumpur Sepang International Airport, where it monitors more than 70 bridges.
