Foster presents masterplan to transform Wembley
Article Abstract:
Efforts by Brent Council to ensure that Wembley becomes the site of the UK's planned National Stadium, rather than Manchester, will include the redevelopment of the area around the stadium. A plan has now been produced by Foster and Partners. This includes a large new public space, a new railway stadium and road improvements. The stadium already has good public transport links, but a new five-level car park is planned, located underneath the new stadium square.

Wembley takes lead in stadium race
Article Abstract:
Mayor of London, England, Ken Livingstone is campaigning strongly for the new national stadium to be located in Wembley, rather than in Solihull, England, or Coventry, England. He feels that the project would regenerate the area, which is the 20th most deprived local authority area in the UK.
