The movements regarding UK interest rates cut by a quarter point' being a headline in the Financial Times on 10 July 2003, which is considered to the decision by the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England (MPC) for reducing interest rates is highlighted. The policy implications for interest rates are discussed, revealing that they generally follow the direction of change in the official rate though the change is not one-for-one.
