aj company focus: Henry Venables
Article Abstract:
UK timber supplier Henry Venables has enjoyed new growth since the 1980s thanks to the modernisation and reorganisation programme implemented under managing director Chuck Venables. The firm has supplied timber since 1855 and is still a family-managed company. However, in recent years it has diversified into the design and production of high-quality architectural joinery. The firm has been involved in large restoration projects such as that of Windsor Castle and St Paul's Cathedral, and seeks to become involved in projects at the concept stage if possible.
